Most couples do not come in because they have stopped caring. They come in because the same conversation keeps happening and neither person feels heard in it.
None of these need to be true for you to get in touch. If something feels off, that is reason enough.
In couples work, my job is not to referee or to decide who is right. It is to slow the pattern down enough that you can both see it - what triggers it, what each of you is protecting, and what you are each hoping the other will finally understand. Underneath most recurring arguments sit two people who feel unheard.
We look at how you each learned to handle closeness and conflict, because those lessons usually arrived long before you met. When one person pursues and the other withdraws, both are trying to manage the same fear from opposite directions.
You are very welcome to come on your own. Individual relationship work is useful when a partner is not ready to attend, when you are working out what you want, or when you want to change your own part in a pattern rather than wait for someone else to change theirs.
Not every couple who comes to therapy stays together. What I can offer is a space to work it out honestly, with care for both of you, rather than by attrition.
